GEO Type Reference

Battlezone has GEO Types for GEOs used in VDFs. These GEO Types allow you to use premade animations for things like thrusters, set the vehicles point of view, add weapon hardpoints, and more. This list is not guaranteed to be complete or even accurate but should get you started! Feel free to contact me if you discover more or spot an inaccuracy!

15 Spinner Spins and on SDF files can be controlled.
33 Vehicle LGT Likely not functional, likely a leftover.
34 Radar Likely not functional. Used on Soviet Recycler.
38 Vehicle LGT Likely not functional, likely a leftover.
40 Vehicle Point of View This is where your point of view inside the vehicle 1st person is. This is also where the pilot's "head" is when you go to snipe.
60 Vehicle Geometry Standard vehicle part. Nothing special to note and is used by default in Blender addon.
61 Structure Geometry Standard structure part.
65 Turret Rotator Very special part! Is used in turrettank and turret classlabel. Set its suffix to ty1 to make it a rotating gun that can rotate left or right. Set its suffix to tx1 to allow it to aim up and down. This is one of the few parts that the suffix is EXTREMELY important!
66 Rotator Rotating part that is used on the NSDF Scout, NSDF Grizzly, CCA Flanker, CCA Bomber, and much more. It rotates left and right on the y axis as its name suggests when you move left or right.
67 Fin/Thruster(Nacelle) Thruster effect comes out of the origin point of an object with this GEO Type. The object is also treated as a fin and rotates when moving forwards and backwards along with rotation.
68 Aerodynamic Side Fin Used on soviet bomber/turret for a fin that slowly moves with vehicle movement. Not used for serious and sharp movements. Kinda like a plane rudder.
70 Producer Smoke Used for emitting smoke effects for producers when building units.
71 Cannon Hardpoint Creates a cannon hardpoint. Give it a suffix name like gc1, gc2, gc3, gc4, or gc5.
72 Rocket Hardpoint Creates a rocket hardpoint. Give it a suffix name like gr1, gr2, gr3, gr4, or gr5.
73 Mortar Hardpoint Creates a mortar hardpoint. Give it a suffix name like gm1, gm2, gm3, gm4, or gm5.
74 Special Hardpoint Creates a special hardpoint. Give it a suffix name like gs1, gs2, gs3, gs4, or gs5. Has special use in things like recycler, factories, armories, and tugs.
75 Forward Thruster This geotype will make the geometry of the geo invisible. The origin point of the GEO will emit a thruster that is mostly visible on forwards and backwards trust. This can be rotated any direction but works best as a forwards or backwards thruster. To use it as a forward thruster rotate the x axis 180 degrees.
