Overview
Pros
- Acrobatics: Never take fall damage ever.
- Strong Ankles: Jump higher when you sprint. This allows you to jump about 2 blocks into the air instead of 1.
- Velvet Paws: Sculk Sensors can't detect you walking or running. They can detect you jumping though along with other loud actions.
- Nocturnal: You can see in the dark quite well when you are not in water.
- Catlike Apperance: Creepers are afraid of you and are only likely to attack you if you attack them or get too close.
Cons
- Nine Lives: You have 1 less heart of health. Not a huge deal.
- Weak Arms: Mining is very very difficult. You can't mine any stone type blocks with more than two other stone type blocks next to each other without a strength potion.
Origin Playstyle
It is not ideal for you to be someone plans to mine or strip mine while playing feline. The best feature of Felines is night vision. You'll be more of an adventurer until you actually get strength potions. Your ability to have no fall damage and 2 block tall jumps though allows you to traverse vertically a bit better. Ideally you want to make good use of your night vision ability or you are wasting one of your best abilities period.
Gameplay
Night Vision
The ability to see during the night is extremely useful for finding ore and things in the dark. That's not all you can do with night vision though as night vision from the surface will let you see things in the water very clearly. Night vision will stop working once you are actually in water though. So you can use this to spot shipwrecks and underwater loot from the surface and jump in after it.
Vertical movement.
Your ability to jump two blocks is pretty effective for climbing certain rough terrain and large gaps. Combine this with your lack of fall damage and you basically can just run through about anything.
Weak Arms, Weaker Mining
Any natural stone block with more than 2 stone blocks around it can not be broken unless you are using a strength potion. This is a terrible origin to use as someone who wants to mine early game in the typical mining style. Until then you'll want to take advantage of caves on the surface going down into the deep. Going to the Nether to get blaze rods will help you make some strength potions.
